She nodded. "Yup! All you have to do is sign a card that they keep in the book so they know that it's being taken out and who it's being taken out by and you can take it with you. Usually only for a set amount of time though. Then you have to start paying fees for having it out too long." She waved a hand dismissively. "But that's usually if you have it out for weeks and weeks."

Her expression became thoughtful as the two topics of conversation crossed paths in mind. "I'm sure there are some good books that could help you with that." She was going to have to explain the "For Dummies" books and how they weren't as insulting as the title sounded. "I think you'll get the hang of it quite easily."
