Fred jumped and then quickly tried to steady the glass in her hands before she wound up with juice on her clothes and the floor. She gave the newcomer a quick smile, holding the glass tight to her chest. What a first impression to make. Then again, the first impressions she'd been making lately had been that of a very high woman. Talking to herself might not have been so bad after all.
"Oh no," she quickly protested, shaking her head. "You're fine. It's everyone's kitchen and I'm just..." She trailed off. "My stomach is just a little off and I swear the best cure for it is orange juice, which is actually very good. Whoever did the grocery shopping last did a really good job." She finished the explanation with a nervous grin, her shoulders rising and falling in a small shrug.
Failing fast, she finally just held out her hand. "Hi, I'm Fred."
