River was pleased with the venue where she had chosen to meet Amy. It was bright and welcoming and seemed a very relaxed environment. She felt this was important given what she needed to tell Amy. River was used to having difficult conversations, but she never liked the waiting before. She prefered to just get it over and done with. River started to wonder if her message had reached Amy and how long she should wait if Amy decided not to turn up. It seemed important to Rory for her to catch up with Amy. River then started to think about what she would say, would she tell her everything all at once? Or would she just see how the conversation went and play it by ear. After all, not planning seemed to work out pretty well in most circumstances...
