Bonnie couldn't really remember what had happened to her. One minute she'd been standing in her bedroom. She'd just shut her computer and was getting ready to go meet the others so they could figure out what the head was going on. And instant later, there had just been a sense of nothingness. It had been so sudden that she hadn't even felt the blow to her head that had killed her, but somehow she was sure that's what she was - dead.

Bonnie Bennett had been dead before. Waking up again had been a lot like being trapped on the other side. She couldn't interact with people at all. In fact, she couldn't even see them this time. That was even worse, when all she wanted to know was whether her friends were okay. Caroline, Elena, Damon. She wanted desperately to reach them. After awhile, she'd started to see a few others, but it wasn't the faces she wanted. Even finding others in the same predicament didn't make her feel any better. It wasn't what she wanted or needed.

Hours later, she found herself standing in the graveyard again, but this time it was different. This time, everything seemed real. She nearly forgot the glimpse of something she was sure was important as she ran as fast as her legs could carry her towards the Salvatore Boarding House. She didn't know if that's where Caroline would be, but she would find Damon and Elena there, she knew. Bonnie didn't even bother to knock when she arrived. Instead, she opened the door and walked inside, calling out loudly to whoever would answer first. "Damon? Elena? Stefan?"

Caroline had struggled to stay balanced and even struggled with trying to handle the normal things of helping organize something. Anything really wasn't as easy for her as it should be. She was so overly tempted to switch off her humanity that she was working overtime to keep herself balanced. Completely and totally falsely balanced.

Ever since she came up to see Damon when Elena had vanished... Things were not okay with her, she snapped at Giles, managed to kind of get things under control but nearly to the level she would have normally... And it was eating at her. Every single little thing was eating at her. She was worried about Stefan because Elena AND Lexi were gone, she couldn't turn to him.

Hell she'd sent a text to Klaus telling him she needed help.

Caroline was not okay. She was far from it. She was freaking out at every little thing and she couldn't even let herself grieve Bonnie because that would mean too much emotion, that would mean too much and she just couldn't take it.

When she arrived back at the boarding house she sighed at the normal smell of the place even if it wasn't in Mystical Falls. She was still in the driveway when she heard Bonnie's voice. Her heart stopped and she started to cry as she sprinted at human speed forward, NOT vamp Speed. That would mean she was too hopeful.

"Bonnie?" She cried out even as she saw her best friend. "Oh My God! Bonnie!" Caroline said her voice breaking and tears falling down her face. She didn't really let Bonnie get anything out at all as she wrapped her in a tight hug, not tight enough to you know kill her or knock her out, but enough that it was tighter than it should be for a human.

Damon had pretty much spent the entire time since Elena had disappeared drunk. He'd concentrated on comforting Elena after Bonnie had died. But, once Elena had gone, he'd let himself feel her loss as well as Elena's. And, with Lexi gone, he and Stefan had gone out and gotten completely wasted. And this, was why he was passed out on the couch that morning, and not in his bedroom.

But, he soon woke up when he heard Bonnie's voice. At first he thought he was dreaming. That he was still asleep. But, then he heard Caroline's reaction and he knew that she was here. That she was back. And, even with Elena gone he couldn't help but smile. And, within a flash he was stood leaning against the wall as Caroline was obviously trying to squeeze the life out of the little witch.

"Careful, Blondie. You don't want to kill her again."
