As soon as the earthquake started, Jemma realised that there was an inevitability that someone would get hurt. Espeically after she saw Bonnie's post about it being magic based. As it was quite obvious that the more violent members of their strange little community would need to go and deal with that. Which of course, again, would mean someone would get hurt.
This was why, she had spent the last four hours in the Med Centre, preparing everything just in case. Even though the earthquake was getting stronger, and stronger. She knew she needed to be there in case of an emergency. And, being able to come to the Med Centre was a lot easier for the displaced than going to the hospital. Especially since most of them didn't necessarily exist in this world. Admittedly, whast she'd spent most of her time doing, was securing everything that could be, and removing lose items from high shelves, just in case.
But, eventually she realised that it was getting too bad, and that she probably needed to get out. Before the building came down around her. She hoped that the others would be able to handle whatever it was that was causing this. But, since she was having to abandon the centre, she decided to pack a bag of essential supplies before she left. So, she could treat what she could at the scene.
Yet, as she hoisted the quite full bag over her shoulder, she heard a creak from above. And, she looked up to see the cracks spreading through the plaster. "Bloody hell!" before starting to run towards the door. Yet, she wasn't fast enough. A chunk of plaster fell from the ceiling, giving her a glancing blow to the shoulder, knocking her to the ground. She started to scramble to her feet, but more plaster started falling from the walls and ceiling, making her progress difficult. Until eventually she was buried by it. Her body battered and broken, and all she could think was, Oh, Fitz.
