"I'd seen them before," he said with a nod, "so I'd recognize if they're really non human. Remember when I said people had suddenly lost powers before? Lucifer caused that. And right after, he sent demons and various different monsters to attack us, these ones among them." And they'd survived, obviously. Even without powers, a trained person could still prevail against enemies when working together as a team. It was pretty close, though. "You could hack off an arm or hand but yes, heads are best." So Levi could pick locks. Very useful skill. He said with a light grin, "Alright, then you can take care of the next one if there are any." He continued down the hall, slow, quiet, his breathing calm. This place really could use a cleaning, he thought. He stopped by the next door, listening closely. Faint sounds he heard as his ear pressed softly to the door. Could hear moving around. And.. eating, yes. But no pleads of mercy or pain, so the body wasn't a living person. Good. He lowered himself to look into the keyhole. There was indeed a body on a table. And lots of cuts, few parts also missing. He saw two ghouls around it. No, three.. four total, one a few feet from them watching. Damien then stepped to the opposite side of the door so he and Levi were on opposite sides of it.
This door was unlocked, so it wouldn't hinder them. He signaled to Levi then, holding up four fingers, then pointing to himself, the door, then to Levi, and a circle gesture, then fist. Translation: Four targets, I go in to rush, then you, circle the targets, attack. They'd have to do this real soon, catch them off guard before they finished their.. meal, so to speak. Certainly didn't want to catch them in a prepared state. He pushed the door open a crack first, gun raised. He pushed it farther open and immediately slid inside. Gun pointed to a ghoul who was hunching over the table and eating, and then quickly firing at the head, three to four shots. The suppressor had helped reduce the noise. The ghoul had been unprepared, gasp of surprise, and sinking down over the body as the shots had hit its mark. Three more to go. They hadn't noticed just yet, but then seeing their comrade lifeless and with such a head wound, and then looking to see two strangers in the room now, quickly got up to face their intruders. Keep going, don't let them close, Damien mentally told himself. He'd not want to get a taste of their strength. He looked to Levi as he was doing his actions, and Damien was ready to assist him as well with cover fire if needed.
