"I probably won't need to use powers this time, best to rely on the weapons at hand," Damien answered quietly with a shrug. Though an idea did just occur to him. "Well.. unless there's a need to demolish the house after, but I doubt it. Probably just burn the ghouls' remains after we're done." He continued to lead the way, walking soft and quiet, but senses ever at the ready and alert. As they got closer, there was a faint odor. Probably a dead body or two from a graveyard. And a brief scent of uncleanliness as well. It wasn't long before he was at the side of the house. As to the scents? Two options. One, maybe a loner had lived here and died, and with few neighbors for miles, no one had come to remove the body. Or second? Which was the most likely at this point. Ghouls had been bringing dead bodies here. Damien was dressed in dark colors, all black. Jeans, shirt, longcoat, and sneakers style shoes for walking lightly. Better to blend in with shadows if needed. "Alright. I'm thinking, sneak in from the back door." Going in the front was a bit ballsy, and could do it if they were fast enough. But there were a lot of variables, plus this residence was new to them. But he'd been asked to lead, so he could do that, as he was silently moving to the backyard but staying close to the outer home walls.
"Sneak in the back way and come up on them from the rear, unexpected. Might be anywhere from two to four of them. I hear their faster and stronger than humans, but taking a few limbs off will slow them, and head removal will end it. They look sorta like us, but with dirty clothes, mostly unclean for the most part. Oh, and they can shapeshift into whoever they eat. Surprise attacks are the best idea here for now. I should mention as I'd spoken of before, they occasionally eat of the living. So they'll think we're dessert when they do see us. Should be alright if we don't let them get too close and just hack away at their parts. Especially heads." He took a deep breath, readying himself to enter. He slowly moved to turn the doorknob.. except it was locked. He sighed, shaking his head as he then stared at it for a moment, and the lock opened, allowing him to turn the knob and open said door for them to creep inside. It was a small kitchen, with a hallway ahead of them, which their were a few doors on each sides for various rooms. He noted that the place was lived in for some time. But nothing cleaned, no food on the counters or fridge. Yeah, this was now even more suspicious. They'd have to listen close to discern what rooms the ghouls would be in, but they had this well in hand so far. As he moved forward, he pulled the gun out from his side, loaded and ready, silencer on it's end. If they were lucky, he could drop one or two of them before they knew they were being hunted.
