Who: Melinda May and Open
When: Late Evening April 16/Early morning April 17.
Where: An alleyway
What: May gets picked up and given an explanation for what the hell is going on.
Rating: Mehhh we'll see.

One minute she had been talking with Andrew -- half-heartedly trying to convince him to stay on as their consultant -- the next she was in what appeared to be a graveyard. Melinda May had seen some pretty incredible things in her lifetime but this was different. Her first thought was that she had been taken by Skye's father but taking her served no purpose. It was Skye he wanted. Next it was HYDRA but leaving her in a graveyard wasn't their style. And it wasn't the U.S. Military's either. May quickly scanned her surroundings again to see if any of her agents were nearby. But it appeared she was all alone.

Hearing voices approaching her position May’s instincts kicked into action. The voices were coming from the East of her so she began briskly walking towards the Northwest. She wasn't going to wait around for the welcome wagon and for the moment she would like to avoid a fight. And so she walked because sooner or later she would come across a phone that she could use to contact Coulson. According to her watch, it was much later than when she had last checked. Hours had been lost. So whatever had dropped her in a graveyard hard knocked her out for a few hours. But what exactly happened in the hours since she had spoken to Andrew until now. Nothing in her body felt amiss but that did not mean there wasn't.

If she could just contact Coulson he could send someone to evaluate if she was a threat to their base and if not she’d have a ride back. If she was a threat, well, May would take care of that problem. Like hell she would allow anyone to use her to harm her team.

As she entered into the main part of town the few residents who were still walking around looked at her strangely and then continued with their business. Their reactions were nothing new to May but they also did nothing to quell the uneasiness she was feeling. Something about this entire situation felt wrong and she needed answers. Plastering on a fake smile -- and telling herself this was just another undercover op -- she approached an older gentlemen and said, "excuse me, sir, I've been walking in circles for hours could you tell me what town this is?"When he told her that she was in Lawrence, Kansas and added a “where ya headed?” May chose to smile, give a quick thank you, and move on. He may have appeared to be kind but didn't need to know anything more about her. And May frankly did not have the time to play twenty questions so she began walking again.

She hadn't gotten far enough away before hearing that she should try the coffee shop two blocks over. And that any answers she was looking for could be found there. May hated coffee but his suggestion begged further investigation so she headed in that direction. There was something special about this coffee shop and May was going to find out what. She knew she was close when she could smell the stomach churning scent of old coffee drifting out of an open door. God she hated that smell.

May had barely made it in the door before she was instantly sought out and instructed to use a computer if she needed. It was obvious the employees in this cafe were used to strangers walking in at late hours. Or perhaps that seemingly kind old man had called ahead to expect her. So far she hadn't picked up on any signs of a trap but this very well could be. Everything about this situation was sending off warning bells in her head.

Melinda declined a coffee when offered but she did choose to head over to the computer. It wasn’t a phone but at least she could use it to contact who she needed to. Phil was always scanning every known frequency and message board for their active missions he was bound to come across a perfectly placed message to Shield. All she needed to do was encrypt the message and post it online. And though it was a message that used a name full of pain it was the only one she could trust him to take seriously. Coulson would know it was her and act appropriately. So she quickly encrypted the message as per their protocols and typed May be compromised. Send evaluation team. [Insert Location Details] - The Cavalry in the text box. After it was sent, May, quickly shut it down and slipped out the doors and into a darkened alleyway. It was here that she would wait. If after two hours no one came she would send another message and relocate to a new position.
