Levi let the other talk. He didn't care who that philosopher was or what he'd said about what. Talking and dreaming and plans only got one so far in life. It was results that mattered, as well as action. In Levi's opinion, at any rate. He agreed the last statement, however, about knowing neither, because it had proved true over a century within the walls. His eyes narrowed as the other took his own blades, testing their weight, then moved into the position that Levi had been in moments ago. The left blade was on his neck, but Levi knew he could handle it. He'd had similar scenarios before.
Now, the question was, did he show off and show him how it was done without blades as his defense? Did he show his weakness and use his gear to take to the air? Normally, Levi had all of these tools to his use. "Every attack has a weak spot," Levi remarked coolly, "and the way out of it is to find that weak spot. Even our Titans have a weak spot. It took the lives of hundreds of soldiers to uncover it, but we've found it, and now that we have, we're not going to forget it. However, in this particular instance." He withdrew two of his blades from the devices at his hips, positioning them as Damien's had been previously.
Levi's eyes narrowed briefly on the spot where Damien's hand held the blade. He brought his own left blade around, swinging it around so that it was avoiding the other blade completely. He let that blade nearly strike Damien's wrist in a quick, immediate reaction. The blade had moved so swiftly that it was almost impossible to tell which direction it came from. "The weak spot is the hand that holds the blade attacking me. If you can knock the blade from your opponent's hand, the threat is no longer viable for them to cut your throat, and they will focus instead on regaining their defense rather than moving forward on an offense." He let the cool of the blade barely touch Damien's skin, then decided to show off anyway.
Activating his 3D Maneuver Gear, Levi acted like his blade had sliced through, even though it hadn't. Using the grappling hooks attached to the device holding his blades, Levi swung out the rope to attach to the wall to their right and brought himself through the air to a position behind Damien. He spun back around to face the man again, blades both drawn as if he hadn't moved at all. "The other advantage is having all your resources available, powers or no."
