"I think that's also part of why I got it," he said in agreement, "can't really go wrong with some protection. And of course the arrow tips are silver, which also happens to be a weakness for ninety percent of what we are faced up against." And she was right, this wasn't always a safe world to live in. Wasn't even always a safe town to live in, their current predicament being a case in point. So he'd gone with practicality when choosing that particular gift. "Thank you," he spoke softly at the comment about Prue. "that was the best two years of my life here, or anywhere. I guess I've always been a giving sort. Mostly to friends or for causes. Most of the funds came from the company and family fortune, so I could afford to spend a bit now and then." Especially if the company was international. He didn't see it happening here anytime soon, but the business he was beginning would be a nice fresh start for him.
Damien smiled at that. Yes, shooting he could do. He was pretty decent with a bow, as well as firearms. "Yeah, you're right, that's a good small step. It'd be quite easy for me to show interest in that, weapons practice is something I'm into regularly as well. I also have a couple swords.. but I don't know if she's too into that area of it also." At least archery shooting was common ground. Something to share. And it served to hone one's reflexes and skills to be the best, and so defend the people more effectively. "You're not in weapons? I don't know, those heels could be dangerous," he said as a manner of joking. Though for all he knew, they could be. "Awesome, parties would be good. Maybe in a week or so, hopefully when this is over?" He thought that would be good. He did like parties. "You could probably set that up in your apartment if you want, like the last one." he laughed and added, "But hopefully this time around, my shoes won't be missing, yes? Sandals aren't really my style for footwear."
