Damien had found that he needed to monopolize his time more. With the recent vampire threat, he couldn't really afford to be out after sunset. Which was strange for him. He was occasionally at his apartment during those night hours for food, a movie, and sleep. But usually? He liked to eat out as well as going to the bars or nightclubs in the area. Or spending a little time at the gym or shooting ranges. Going over some files at his new office site - which was set to be warded soon by Kol and any other magic users. But he knew this was necessary. He wasn't nigh invulnerable like Originals or the vampire slayers. He did have special abilities. Dangerous ones, yes, which weren't ideal for this particular scenario, which would in fact do more harm to those around him than against this vampire. Being indestructible and immortal wasn't one of those abilities. And while he may also be able to self-heal, he'd prefer to avoid the pain if it can be helped and let those more capable to patrol at night instead. He just hoped the situation could be remedied soon, before more were killed or injured.
Today, he had finished his patrol a couple hours ago. The remainder of that time? He had went for a lunch at a ritzy restaurant, followed by a shopping trip for some essentials, mostly food supplies. Along with some more firearms ammunition, bags of anti-monster salt, some "invisible ink" type chemicals, and a few martial arts books. He had also been at his new workplace building to go over a full checklist with it again. Seemed suitable so far, though there would be meetings son before the work could even begin officially. But now as of this moment, he was in a bit of a rush once he was driving on the road. It was four in the afternoon. Still a few hours til sundown, which was good. He briefly wondered of he could take a vacation.. the Strigoi attacks seemed confined to Kansas, so perhaps it would be fine going off to Chicago? Any other time, he'd do it. But he didn't feel right about leaving at this time. He may avoid it during night time, but leaving the whole town during a crisis wasn't his way. During situations of this nature, it was best to stay in case assistance is required. He doubted it would be in this case, but anything could happen. He'd be glad once it was all resolved.
He was also thankful to have his shoes today as well. Damn leprechauns, that crap had been annoying. Fortunately everything seemed back to normal. No more shoe stealing or getting tripped at least. Still, he had felt awkward going to parties barefoot or with socks and sandals. He shook his head at that memory, seeing that he was almost home as he drove his black 2014 Lamborgini. Almost in the warded safety of the apartment complex. Radio station playing heavy metal music, swiftly moving into the parking lot til he was in the section designated for Building 1. Home at last. He was currently unaware his arrival was noticed. Well, slightly unaware. He knew he was hard to miss with that sort of car he'd gotten himself a few months ago, not to mention the music tastes. But that it may be someone who would actually be heading directly his way the moment he turned the car off? Not a clue at all. So he continued, opening his door as he stepped out, wearing his blue slacks, black turtleneck shirt and longcoat. His back was turned to the person as he was walking to the rear door of his car to retrieve a few of items. Might require a couple trips, but there was still well enough hours left in the day.
