"Don't get me wrong," Davina said over the top of her coffee cup. "I think Klaus is a complete psychopath but... he cared about you, at home." Davina hadn't believe that Klaus could really care about anyone other than himself but he had proved her wrong. That didn't excuse what he'd done to Tim and Marcel and Josh and so many others, but it did prove that he had, once, been human.
Davina gave a soft giggle, lowering her head and placing her cup back down on the table. "Well I appreciate your advice," she replied, glancing up to give Cami a warm smile. It was nice, having someone older she felt she could talk to. Her own mother had always been so protective, so controlling, stifling, and she'd never been able to really talk to her about how she was feeling. It was nice to finally have someone who cared enough to actually listen.
"Thanks," Davina said, quietly. "For talking to me about this." Whether it turned out well or not - she really hoped it turned out well - she'd still appreciate Cami being there for her.
