Davina listened to Cami, once again chewing at her bottom lip. She had been temped to simply turn up at Kol's door before, demand to see him, demand answers, but that required so much courage. Facing Klaus had required courage. Carrying on after Tim had died had required courage. Giving up her life to save her friends had required courage. But this? This seemed way scarier than any of those things had been. She had already been rejected by her coven, her family - she didn't want to be rejected by Kol too. She didn't want to hear that she wasn't good enough, wasn't interesting enough, for the 1000 year old man she had stupidly let herself fall for.
"I don't know," she murmured, lowering her eyes to stare down into her barely touched coffee. While she had to admit that it was likely that Kol was up to something, even that irritated her. At home he'd included her on his plans - well, most of them anyway - enough that she'd believed she could trust him and rely on him. He'd made her feel worthy - worthy of sharing his secrets with. Still, if he was up to something here, he didn't seem intent on including her at all.
"Maybe he just isn't interested any more." That was what she feared - that Kol had realised that she was just a normal girl with powers she still didn't really understand and just... wasn't interested any more. She had believe that he cared about her, wanted her, and she didn't want to have to admit to herself that he, too, might simply have been using her for what she could give him - an ally in the search for revenge on Klaus.
