Rose was actually happy to be on patrol duty today. It was early morning, before she and Lissa would normally leave for KU, so Lissa answered the call when it came in, alerting them to a new arrival in the graveyard. Normally, she did her actual patrolling at night, but they people at the building kept tabs pretty much around the clock and just let whoever was on duty know through comms that someone was here.
After making arrangements with Allison to go to campus with Lissa of she wasn't back (Rose refused to let her go completely unprotected), Rose called out a quick goodbye to her best friend before grabbing her coat and rushing out the door. The graveyard wasn't that far from Graeves House, but the broke into a brisk run to shorter the trip. After months of running every day with Dimitri and regular training since, Rose was barely wonder when she reached the cemetery gates, even after going at a full run. She slowed as she approached, holding up her hands in a "I come in peace" gesture when the woman whirled around.
"Hey, it's okay, I'm not here to hurt you," she said, working to keep her tone calm and soothing. Rose didn't always have the best control over her temper or other emotions, but she could be good at the people thing when she wanted to be and she remembered how disorienting it was to show up here out of nowhere. Judging by the woman's clothing, she was from way in the past, too, which was probably going to make it feel a lot weirder.
