Who: Lois and Emma
What: meet ups and introductions
Where: kid friendly cafe
When: sometime after Emma’s first post
Warnings/Status: ongoing!

The Seal was a douche. Lois had known this for a while now. It took who it wanted without a care for who people were leaving behind. She could usually handle that with enough time. There was enough going on to keep her occupied and aside from Chloe, Oliver and Kon it hadn’t really taken anyone that had taken her too long to continue on from. And then it had taken Emma and Rose and a slew of others she had been really good friends with.

Emma’s disappearance had been hardest though. One, because she was her best friend and one of the first people aside from Clark that she had really gotten to know in Lawrence. But mostly because of Aislinn. The girl was barely two years old and had her parents and brother ripped away from her.

And then her mother had come back but had no clue who she was.

So yeah, the Seal was a douche.

But Emma had been open to meeting her and the baby, to getting to know one another all over again. How that would work for the two year old was beyond Lois but Aislinn was as stubborn as she was. She’d figure it out. As would Emma.

They were meeting at a local cafe. The one that had a small play place inside of it. Mostly just mats and small climbing objects in the shapes of various zoo animals. Lois figured it would keep her goddaughter occupied.

The two arrived late because juggling going anywhere with a two year old was a huge task but also because she had been trying to get the last line just right for the article she needed to submit. Lois looked around, trying to find Emma’s location, but it was the tiny brunette who spotted her first and nearly bolted from Lois’ grip.

“MAMA!”

Adjusting to be ripped away from her own world and suddenly in Kansas in another had been surprisingly easy for Emma to adjust to. She'd been taken away to other worlds before. So really, that wasn't anything new for her. The real shocker was finding out that she had apparently already been there, made a life for herself, and had a kid. That she didn't even remember having.

Emma would be the first to admit to herself that she had no freaking idea how the hell she was supposed to act around this kid. Maybe she'd grow attached to her, like she did with Henry. The thing with Henry was, though, she at least remembered having him. It was going to be a little bit harder to form an attachment with a kid she didn't even remember.

Still, she'd feel horrible if she did anything to scar the kid for life if she didn't at least meet her first before deciding what the hell she was going to do. Being a foster kid herself, the one thing Emma understood was that it sucked feeling like your parents abandoned you...and she would hate for Aislinn to grow up feeling like Emma never gave a damn about her. At least with Henry, he was old enough to where he understood why Emma had given him up, and he had Regina to act as a parent to him. And while Lois seemed like she was doing a really great job taking care of her, Emma didn't want to confuse Aislinn by being around, but not ever actually taking care of her.

When Lois arrived with Aislinn in tow, Emma forced a grin. Well, at least she made the little girl happy by at least just being back. And with the way she was running towards her, it'd be cruel if Emma denied her actual contact. So, she pushed any worries or doubts she currently had aside, and crouched to Aislinn's level.

"Hey, Aislinn!" She said, trying to sound as excited to see her daughter as she was to see her mother. She opened her arms, allowing her to run in for a hug, before looking up at Lois.

"Thanks," she said. "I know this probably really isn't very easy for you."

Lois shrugged and sat down in the empty seat across from Emma. "I want to say that the whole people coming back without memories thing is something you get used to but I'd be lying." It was easier with some, but not the ones who had been so entrenched in her life. "I have a feeling its not all that easy for you either. Especially this part."

The new dimension thing was probably a walk in the park for Emma depending on when in her timeline she was from. Lois knew she did a few times to different places because of the show but finding out she had a little girl who she didn't even remember giving birth to had to be difficult to comprehend. She was grateful that Emma at least was meeting Aislinn. How it would work from there was beyond Lois because she didn't exactly want to saddle her down with a two year old.

"Hey, Ais. I've got...I have no idea what your Uncle Clark packed in here to entertain you." She rifled through the diaper bag and pulled out a cup of some kind of cracker that was apparently good for kids Aislinn's age and handed it over to the girl.

"Fank you, Auntie Wois." Aislinn took the cup and showed it off to Emma.

"Why don't you go and eat over on the elephant while we get drinks. You can have the foam if you manage to eat all of those up." That seemed like a reasonable task for the girl to do.

Aislinn was reluctant to leave but was a foam fiend so she headed over to the elephant so that the other two could talk. "Did anyone mention the whole fictional thing to you yet? Someone usually throws that out at people as soon as they sign onto the network but I wasn't sure anyone managed it yet with you."
