If someone had told Jenna a month ago that she'd be in the Salvatore Boarding house in Kansas as a vampire she would have thought someone had a really bad trip on something. This was all still so new to her. Knowing about the supernatural was new, learning the truth about Stefan and Damon, Caroline... Bonnie... Elijah, and Ric knowing all about it was still insane to her. The concept that she was a vampire was still something she was struggling to get ahold of.
Jenna's emotions were all over the place, everything felt so intense. She'd been told that was normal, vampires felt things more than humans did, everything was intensified. One of the many surprises of being here was that Elena was married to Damon. Damon of all people, not Stefan, Damon. Her emotions around that were even more all over the place and frankly it was near impossible to put together all of the pieces.
The major piece she could put together was that Elena seemed okay, really okay. Jenna felt like she'd failed Elena and Jeremy as a guardian, failed her sister in not being able to look out for her kids. Anytime Jenna thought about that she wanted to burst into tears because it was so painful, overwhelming her with pain and regret.
Waiting in the living room she was just looking at pictures. The place looked the same as it did back home, but it was different too. She was surprised at how easy it was to hear Elena come down the stairs, she knew as a human she probably wouldn't have heard it. She turned to smile as Elena came in. She looked good her niece. That at the very least was comforting.
"It's not tequila, but it'll do." Jenna said as anticipation filled her along with fear and more confusion. Of everything she was just really sick of feeling confused. It was annoying. Taking the bottle from Elena she took a much larger sip than Elena had deciding that it would just help things along. After swallowing and making a slight face at the taste she looked at Elena. "I feel like I should be giving you a lecture about underage drinking." She admitted with a slightly guilty smile.
"So, Damon?" Jenna said getting straight to it as she handed the bottle back to her niece.
