========================
Damien was outside of his apartment. He had the day off for patrols, so he didn't have to be anywhere urgent for now. He had noticed how many people the Seal had returned home. He was also aware of the aftermath that inevitably follows, as it often does. Lost families, broken hearts, rifts in their lives. Until the same people would return. And they may. However, he knew some might not. He knew that fully well. He had only just recently, after everything, begun to feel whole again. At least a major threat had been taken care of. Fortunately, the good people hadn't lost a fight yet.. though there had been an occasional casualty, temporary or not. So today, he felt like checking around the Greaves House apartment property. This was his home for now after all. If one doesn't feel safe in their own home, then the world is quite dismal indeed. He had mentioned a few ideas to Kirk a while ago on the boards. Nothing had been decided yet, but he was willing to put his finance towards any of it to make sure it could happen. No evil could enter the grounds, but that didn't fully put him at ease. A truly dark person would find a way around that and attack from afar. Or send in someone innocent that may unknowingly possess a bomb that can go off by remote. Or anything that involves being out of range.
He thought now may be a time to go around the buildings and lots to get a view and assess things himself, make mental notes of any possible improvements. He wore black pants, shirt, and a dark overcoat. He held a small notepad that he'd jot down some info on, once in a while as he walked. Taking notice of possible exit routes for tenants, the doors, entry points, but mostly? The windows were of intrigue to him. Might not be too much work to reinforce them, he'd though. Make them a bit impenetrable from outside attacks, he imagined that some police or government agencies used strong glass surfaces like those too. Possible even some tech that allowed for metal shutters to come downward on doors and windows during a needed lockdown scenario. It would take a bit of work. Though probably not much, he could just supply the money and workers could install it. He would just hope that the residents might be on board with the plans as well.
He had went around his own building, and had with the second.. and circled around the third, making notations of the layout and what might be needed soon. He would save this for Kirk and Catherine to review shortly as well, when they would each have a fee moment to speak on it. He was nearly done assessing things and was making his way to the front lot. He noticed some pebbles on the sidewalk in front of him. So he just made a gesture of his hand and the small rocks just rolled off and into the grass and gravel section of the path, as if on their own. He checked his watch. 12:30. Might be time for lunch within the hour. As he walked toward the end of the walkway, he heard footsteps approaching around a corner. Fast. Repetitious. Ah, maybe someone on a run? He had done so in the morning. He stepped aside slightly and looked up to get a look at who it was. Maybe it was another tenant that he'd seen around the place, or perhaps a neighbor. He'd see soon.
