When she started to slide past him his hand snapped out and grabbed her arm to stop her but not enough to hurt her. "You will make time Mercy," he growled, his eyes growing more gold. "Trouble is attracted to you and I don't have my pack here to help pull your ass out of the fire." He let her arm go and watched her head to the car.
He closed his eyes and took in a breath, forcing himself to calm down. Only she could rile him up like this and keep him on his toes. "Were Bran here he would say the same damn thing." He winced a little when he realized she had gotten him to swear in front of a lady and he growled in annoyance before tugging the car door open, barely keeping himself from ripping it off before he stalked over to his side and got in.
"There are drive thrus," he returned, tugging his sunglasses back on. "It's a bit a ways out of town so the risk of running into people is less." He began driving and headed in the direction of the cabin.
"I am not losing you to a monster here because you're too prideful to take the classes that are offered."
