Every night Bellamy went out about the same time. He didn't go out terribly long but still he went out. Perhaps he had high hopes but he felt like he had to check in case Octavia came through whatever it was. He couldn't help thinking about her. In their world. Somehow it seemed that he was still there but that didn't help him any. That didn't stop him from worrying about her. She was his responsibility. He passed through town and headed straight for the graveyard. If that was where people turned up he wanted to be the first person Octavia saw. The last time they had spoken things hadn't ended the way they should of. He just wanted to see her again. So far there hadn't been a sign of anyone any other night he went by the graveyard. Until tonight. "Finn?" The last time Bellamy saw Finn he was at the top of the cliff trying to pull Bellamy and Mel up. And the last time Clarke had seen him... *** Bellamy was the last person Finn had expected, or wanted, to see and he was tense as he looked at him. “Bellamy. You want to tell me where we are and how the hell we got here?” he asked, watching him cautiously. He didn’t trust Bellamy as far as he could throw him and while he wouldn’t pick a fight with him - he’d fight if he had to. “Where’s Clarke and the others?” *** “It’s going to sound really strange,” Bellamy started. He could understand Finn’s confusion. He had felt the same confusion and panic. At least he had woken up with someone familiar, someone from home. It still sucked unbelievably that Octavia wasn’t here but at least he had had Clarke. “Clarke is here. We’re the only ones until you showed up,” he started. He was unsure of what point in time Finn was from. He had eventually found out that he and Clarke were from different time periods which made absolutely no sense. But given what he had learned from Clarke about when she was from he didn’t want to say anything. At least until Clarke got here. “Let me just send her a message,” he told him and pulled out his phone and sent Clarke a message. *** “Stranger than waking up in a graveyard?” Finn asked watching Bellamy carefully as he sent a message - supposedly to Clarke but Finn would believe it when he saw her. “She better be okay Bellamy” he said when Bellamy finished. He didn’t feel bad about saying that to him because he could still remember, vividly, the way Bellamy had acted towards her when it came to trying to get the tracker off her wrist. Finn still thought that Bellamy would have hurt Clarke if it had been necessary in his desire to get that off her - to get her vital signs to stop being reported to the Ark. *** The text from Bellamy kind of surprised her, actually it really surprised her. She had no idea what was going on or what had happened or why he was back at the graveyard or what was going on. So, she texted back and started heading towards the graveyard, which luckily she hadn’t been that far away from in her exploring of this place. She hurried at a quick run towards the graveyard and where Bellamy had mentioned he was. Seeing the back of someone’s head that looked a lot like Finn she point blank stopped, she couldn’t move forward she couldn’t even think. “Finn?” She said in pure shock as she walked closer to where they were standing. Was he ghost? Did she need to find some rock salt or something? She’d learned a lot lately, and she just felt like this wasn’t possible. She’d killed him. ~~~~ "A little. Maybe it's on the same level," Bel answered. Bellamy was answering a Clarke back and forth but he had heard Finn. It almost sounded like a warning. Or a threat. The same kind he'd give someone else if someone he cared about was in jeopardy. "This is Clarke we're talking about. She's fine." ---- He turned immediately towards the direction of her voice when she arrived. He didn't say anything though. He didn't even move. He just watched her as she got closer. ~~~~ This wasn’t possible was it? Clarke wasn’t even sure how she should feel, or how she should react. She had accepted that Finn was dead, she had accepted that she had killed him. Okay so maybe accepted it wasn’t exactly how she was going to put it, but she had decided she had to live with it and she had to figure it out and deal with it. It wasn’t that she really wanted to kill him, of course she didn’t… but it was… … but he was standing right there in front of her and between Bellamy not really saying anything and Finn just looking at her Clarke knew that she again had to be the one to do something. She was always the one that had to do something and right now was no difference was it? “Finn…” She repeated as she blinked a few times. “What’s the last thing you remember before showing up here?” ~~~~ Finn had to admit that Bellamy had a point, it was Clarke they were talking about, but he wasn’t going to say that out loud to the other man. It was hard enough admitting it to himself. He’d turned when he heard her voice, smiling a little as he looked at her coming towards them. It looked like Bellamy hadn’t been lying when he said he’d messaged her, or when he said she was okay. “Hey princess,” he knew the nickname annoyed her, which was part of why he used it. Her question surprised him and it took him a second to figure out how to answer her. There were a few things that stuck out as having happened shortly before waking up in the graveyard - namely spending the night with her - but he decided to go with what had happened right afterwards. Because it would clue Bellamy in too in case he’d been wondering. “Raven showed up. Why?” *** That nearly felt like a slap in the face. Clarke looked blankly at Finn for a second before she shook herself out of it and looked to Bellamy to try and get a read on what he might have said to Finn already. “Because we’re all from different points in our history, and it’s useful to know what you have and haven’t lived through.” She said rather matter of factly. She couldn’t let herself feel too much or it might overwhelm her. It might cause her to fall apart and she was not going to allow herself to that. She could not fall apart. There was no way in hell she was going to let that happen. “Let’s get you back to where we are staying. They have real showers.” Clarke said being as logical as possible, and perhaps a little bit colder than she needed to be, but she was protecting herself. ~~~~ It wasn't that Clarke had to be the one to do something. He just thought Clarke would want to see Finn…given what happened in their future. He thought it would have helped with her anguish over Finn's fate. Finn was from that far in the past? This place only got stranger the longer they were here. They were all at different times and so much seemed to happen in between. Though he was thankful he didn't remember what he had done to that grounder. "That's a good idea," Bel said, looking around. Old habits died hard. He couldn't help keeping an eye on their surroundings no matter where they were. From what he'd heard it wasn't a bad habit to have even here. ~~~~ Considering what had just happened between them back home, Finn wasn’t all that surprised by the coldness in her voice. He figured he had it coming to him in a way - he’d lied to her after all and used her although at the time it had happened he honestly thought he had to move on because he’d never see Raven again. His tendency to act without thinking and get caught up in a moment had definitely come back to bite him in the ass. But just because he figured he deserved the coldness didn’t make it hurt less hearing it. “A real shower sounds really good right now.” *** Nodding she wasn’t even thinking about exactly what had happened between them from where Finn was from, no she was thinking about killing him and walking away from it because that’s what she had to do, that was the right thing to do for their people. It was something she was going to have to live with, even if Finn was alive and in front of her right now. “Great. Let’s go.” She said nodding to Bellamy as she started moving in the right direction. “There are a lot of things you should know about this place… We’re in the past, way in the past.” Clarke started. “And we’re fictional to some people here, yeah.” She said. “We’re from a TV Show called The 100, which I suppose makes sense given that the 100 of us were sent to earth.” ~~~ Bellamy glanced over at Clarke between scanning their surroundings. Silently he was searching to see if she was okay. Though he figured she wasn't. She couldn't be. But at the very least the thing he learned about Clarke was that she put everything and everyone before herself. She was a true leader. And she'd taught him a thing or two. Not that he'd openly admit that. "It's a lot to take in but that's not even all of it," he added, turning his attention toward Finn. Given the time that Finn was from…Bellamy didn't think Finn would care much about what he said. That was a rocky point in their short history of their time on the ground. Bellamy had made mistakes to cover up his own indiscretions. Mistakes that cost lives. If he could go back with the knowledge he had now…there were many things he would do differently. Unfortunately do-overs weren't a thing. But traveling to a random graveyard in another dimension was. Another dimension where there were more than just Grounders and Mountain Men to worry about. ~~~ Finn was trying to take in everything they were telling him as they walked, trying to somehow make sense of what Clarke was saying. He didn’t want to believe it - that they were in the past and people knew them from a tv show - but he trusted Clarke. There was no reason for her to lie about any of it. It just didn’t make sense. And as much as he didn’t trust Bellamy - Clarke seemed to and that was something else he’d have to figure out later. Maybe ask them about later. Bellamy’s comment about it not being all made him laugh and he looked at him for a second in silence before asking. “There’s more than waking up in a graveyard in the past? And being from a television show? I can’t wait to hear this.” *** “First let’s actually get out of the graveyard and we’ll tell you about everything.” She looked at Bellamy quickly trying to tell him with her eyes that maybe everything didn’t include the part where she stabbed Finn killing him, yeah that part could wait for a little while, but she did know she’d have to tell him. Telling him a graveyard didn’t seem like a very good place to do that though. “Yeah, Bell is from further along than you are, as am I. A lot has happened.” She said knowing that was an understatement and she was just waiting for Bellamy to say something about that. “Come on, let’s keep moving.” She said turning her eyes away from either of them determined not to fall apart. ~~~ |
