==================
Scorpius had sent Regina a text earlier about coming over for lunch today. It had been a couple weeks since he had dinner with her and the others at the House of Lust. And so, it was agreed that he would come over for a lunch, sometime past two in the afternoon. He looked forward to that. Most of his eating times were spent alone, either at his own house or going out to a dining establishment. The couple Potter-Weasley dinner gatherings that had invited others, he'd liked those ones. A few in there had been friends to him in school. And occasionally he would speak with someone new or some person who he hadn't talked to as much before. But today's occasion, that would be familiar territory indeed. He remembered living in that house previously. He remembered Regina, Katherine, Dr. House, and sometimes Elijah, and there had been a new resident named Ana too. This was what he had needed at that time. To be around people he'd trusted. Being terrorized by dreams and gifts sent by the Devil, wasn't exactly good for any recipient of them to have been alone. Being there had saved his sanity, and in essence probably saved himself as well.
When he had been sent away by Seal and came back, he'd understood there were changes, such as a new child to be born, for example. That was good news to hear. It reminded the young wizards of the 'happy endings' often spoken of in stories. Though, technically? He didn't think that term was fully accurate. It couldn't be a an ending. That implied finality. No, he thought it should be considered a beginning instead. Similar to his family back home, when the Dark Lord was defeated, that was an ending of sorts. But for some, it was a new start. People could go on in life without having to worry about the chaos and misery from evil wizards looming mysteriously out there and ready to strike. And for others? Well, for those who'd been on the wrong side and saw the error of their traditions, saw the light as it's said. Those ones, it was a beginning as well, a time for their types to find redemption and make amends in the new life ahead. There had still been casualties. He knew that well. He had seen the graves when his parents took him to the memorial sites. He'd seen another version of it during that alternate world he'd been stuck in. A happy world, but one where his parents were a casualty. He.. did not often think on that. He knew it wasn't a good thing for others who'd been through the same thing. And so, today, he dressed himself up nicely. He wore blue slacks, a green shirt, and green jacket. His hair was nicely combed and he had the serpent ring on his finger, a ring which had been passed down through his family when the males were old enough.
He wondered what kind of food Regina may have prepared for them to eat. Pastries? Ham sandwiches? Or.. ohh, or? Maybe some meat, cheese, and toasted buns, and bacon. It was different than the bacon in his home country but good enough. Or pork chops. Honestly, it could be either of those things he'd thought of through the day. Whatever it would be, he was fully certain he would enjoy every bit of it. Making good food was one of the things he knew Regina to excel at. Well, that and using magic. Once he was ready to go, after looking at the mirror for the.. fifteenth, time, was it? He was ready to go. He tucked the wand in his inner coat pocket and immediately vanished, reappearing at the front door to the House of Lust. He paused a moment to take in the familiar surroundings and knocked on the door. "Hello.. Regina?," he called afterward to announce himself, "it's me, Scorpius."
