"Magic has it's moments." Saving people like that was certainly one of them. If only they'd had something like that back home. Maybe they wouldn't have lost all of their friends. Maybe he and Enjolras wouldn't have had to die. Then again, it wasn't as though any of them would have believed it possible. He still had his doubts about plenty of things here. He could believe this because Rose was sitting opposite him, looking almost perfectly well. Things people told him about that he hadn't seen took a bit more effort to accept as a reality.
It took him a second to realise she didn't mean cold. "It was. But I have always lived there. Or did. It's a bit different when it is all you have known. But I miss Paris." He missed all the little alleys with their small cafes, and bars, how he missed those. Knowing all the people, all the sights. The seine and its beautiful bridges. He could probably talk about it for hours if it wouldn't completely bore someone who knew nothing about it. "Though from what I have seen it has changed a lot, over the years."
"You just like to spend time with her?" It wasn't all that far fetched. Anyone could be taken by the seal at any moment. The thought of Enjolras being taken terrified him. Even if Gavroche was here, he doubted he could do this without his friend. But he'd never liked to dwell on thoughts like that. What was the point? "What is that you are drinking?" He asked her curiously. It smelt a bit like gingerbread.
