Rose kept watch on Lissa and Christian even as she smiled at Grantaire and took the seat across from him. It provided a good view of the moroi and it was close enough that she'd be at their sides in an instant if there was a need. Rose had sat through all the classes, she knew was was out there, and she knew daytime wasn't necessarily safe. Then again, she'd long ago gotten over the idea that bad things could only happen after dark. That belief had been challenged in her days at St. Vladirmir's and by everything that had come after. Danger didn't always come in the form of Strigoi and even they had ways around their few limitations.
"I'm good," she answered him before blowing on her tea to cool it a little. Being shot by Garrett had nearly cost her her life, but it wasn't the first time she'd been shot and thanks to Lissa and Adrian, she didn't have so much as a scratch from that ordeal. All her current injuries were from the fight against the man after Skye had been taken and those weren't serious at all. A few cuts and bruises, which were already healing.
"Are you a student here?" she asked, tentatively sipping at her drink. It was still hot, but not so bad it burned her mouth. She'd seen Grantaire around town before now, but this was the first time she'd really, really talked to him and she was curious.
