Right, because waking up in a graveyard that looked like it was a part of how earth looked in the old pictures they had on the arc was completely normal. Actually it was not normal, nothing was normal about any of this and there was one thing for sure, Clarke didn’t trust anything she didn’t understand. She’d jumped up looking around trying to get her bearings. This was not where she’d been moments before when she’d killed Finn, something she would have to live with, but right now surviving came first. She had to find a way to get back to where she’d been. That wasn’t going to be easy but she’d have to figure it out and she would. She was looking around when she saw another body on the ground not far away that looked asleep. Sprinting over she nearly felt like she might cry as she looked down at Bellamy Blake. “Bellamy.” She said shaking him vigorously. “Get up!” She said checking his pulse quickly. A sigh of relief left her lips as it was clear from his warmth and his pulse that he was indeed alive. “Bellamy!” She yelled. ~~~~ He could hear his name and someone shouting but he couldn't quite pull himself out of unconsciousness. The shaking didn't help much either. Eventually his eyes started to open and the world slowly came into focus. And the first thing his eyes saw was a very familiar looking blonde. "Princess?" It came out more as a question but he couldn't help the little smile that tugged at his lips. Once upon a time he said that with disdain - used it as an insult towards her. But it had been a long time since it had held the same meaning. It had become more of a nickname and a term of endearment. Was he still asleep? Was he dreaming? Bellamy glanced around at his surrounding. From what he could tell they were in a graveyard and they were some place he had never seen before. And the last time he had seen Clarke was when the drop ship doors closed. He had been hanging on to hope that she was alive. That she was with the Grounders. ~~~~ “Bellamy, we don’t have time for this, get up!” She snapped at him as she stood up offering her hand. Whatever had brought them here and whatever was going on she at least knew with Bellamy they’d figure it out, and most likely together. Although how anyone felt about her right now she didn’t know. She’d done what she had to do for someone she cared about, even possibly loved, but right now what she’d done didn’t exactly matter, what mattered was that they were going to figure out what was going on and get back to their people. “Does your head hurt?” She said holding up three fingers. “How many fingers am I holding up?” Clarke knew that even if he had a concussion they’d have to move on, but it was better to know what kind of condition he was in before moving too far, or too fast. She looked away from him and around them. “It looks like Earth… But I mean from the pictures we saw on the ark earth… not…” She didn’t say the rest of what she was thinking, it didn’t look like earth as they knew it. ~~~ Bellamy didn't know if he'd been hit on the head, to be honest. It didn't matter right now. Figuring out where they were, how they got here, where their people were. That was more important. The details were still a bit unclear. With each passing moment he was awake things started coming back to him. He remembered Clarke being missing, taken by the Grounders. He remembered Finn's reaction to everything scaring even him though he didn't say anything or admit to it. It was hard to ignore those thoughts when Murphy had become the voice of reason. The last thing he remembered was Grounders attacking Finn, Murphy and Monroe when they were trying to pull Bellamy and Mel up. He was certain they were about to be dropped and then he woke up here. Without Mel. "I'm fine," he grumbled, looking around. This was nothing like the Earth they had made their home since they exited the drop shit. This looked different. "What happened?" Bellamy asked, climbing to his feet. "The Grounders….were you with them?" ~~~ “What?” Clarke asked a little caught off guard by the second question, not the first one, the what happened question was one that she would really like an answer to herself right about now and it didn’t seem to be one that would just appear out of thin air, but she’d learned a long time ago nothing was simple and nothing was simple. “Yeah, we all kind of were with the Grounders so to speak.” Clarke said unsure how to even articulate what she’d just done, what she’d had to do. It was what she had to do for her people, and for their future. If she’d hurt their leader, or let them torture Finn that was… neither of those were actually options so she took the one option that she could take, the one that would bring the best answer and the one that she knew Finn would want more. “But none of that matters right now. How we got here and how we get back to our people is what matters. Come on, we need to move.” ~~~ "What?" That made absolutely no sense to Bellamy. He wasn't with the Grounders. He hadn't even been with Clarke. She had still been missing. Bellamy paused looking at Clarke. "You were missing. All of our people were missing. Finn and I we've been searching for you…how many of our people were there? Did anyone else make it?" Bellamy questioned. He was concerned with the task at hand but he also wanted to know where all of his people were. ~~~ That… that wasn’t where Clarke was from and she had to work hard to think through the fact that whatever happened, he might not have all of his memories. He probably had hit his head on something and memories were off. Clarke couldn’t bring herself to tell him everything else though, not yet. It was too painful and it wouldn’t help them in the situation they were in. “That’s complicated, but let’s figure out where we are first, and we will get to the rest of that later okay.” It wasn’t a question, she said it as if it were a fact. “Come on.” She added nodding her head toward what looked like an exit. ~~ If anyone would understand, Bellamy would. He might not know everything she'd been through or had to do since his last memories but he'd understand. If Clarke had made that decision it had to be the only decision. He has said many times before…who they are and who they need to be to survive are very different things. Bellamy followed her without hesitation. It didn't matter which of them led or which covered behind them. They were equals, partners, leaders. And if anyone could take care of themselves, he knew that was Clarke. They were survivors and they would survive whatever was going on here. He wanted to ask how this was possible. Though neither of them could really answer that question. This was something completely new. It just didn't make sense. And it felt rather impossible. This was not how things looked before he woke up here. As they stepped closer and closer to the exit of the graveyard Bellamy had more questions than answers. ~~ Clarke wouldn't outright admit it, but she was really glad that Bellamy was there, she knew with him there they could fight anything and they would figure out what happened and they would do what it took to survive. She hated who she had become sometimes, but she also knew it was the price they paid for making sure they survived and their people survived. Sacrifices had to be made. Rules changed, something she felt the 'adults' didn't really grasp yet. They'd sent kids down and expected them to survive and when they did, they came down and tried to take charge? Clarke felt like a lot of that was wrong. They didn't really know anything. "This isn't our world." Clarke said as she looked up as she heard an airplane go overhead. "How is this possible." Clarke said as she jogged forward towards what looked like, well a road. "Bellamy come look at this." She said as she looked at what could only be the past. "That's…" She stopped. "We're…" ~~~ |
