Peter had largely kept to himself and a few of his closer friends lately. He was focused on school, on work, and not much else. That is, until these attacks started out of nowhere. He didn't really have any hunches about who might be behind it at this point, but he did feel like he had gotten out of the habit of of patroling and that should be a problem he fixed as soon as possible. Like tonight. Right now.
He had been wandering around Lawrence, a bit on foot, a bit...along rooftops and swinging through the air, for an hour by now. He flung a web at a nearby light pole and swung himself down, jumping onto the sidewalk once he reached a safe enough level to do so. He thought he heard someone up ahead, and approach cautiously. Depending on who--or what--he found, he might look a bit odd, all costumed up, but he was used to it and it was just weird to patrol without it anymore.
Quickly, and quietly as he could manage, he swung up to see whoever was coming around the corner, waiting to see if they spotted him.
