Damon stared at the computer screen, rereading the words again and again. Bonnie had gone. Okay, so the Bonnie that was here wasn't the one that he'd actually become friends with in 1994. But, knowing that she was here had been nice. Kind of like when he'd listened to her voicemail after she'd sent him back. But, it also made him feel less guilty, that he was here and not at home doing everything he possibly could to get her out of that damned repeating day!

Throwing himself out of his chair, Damon stalked downstairs towards the liquor cabinet, grabbing a random bottle and heading towards the kitchen. Throwing a random CD into the CD player, he started making pancakes. For once, in memory of Bonnie, and not in memory of Gail.

As per usual, Damon Salvatore decided to drink his feelings away. But, at teh same time, he did something which reminded him of what he lost. Which was painful. Because however much he joked about teh whole humanity switch thing. He never wanted to go back to that. The person he'd become by 1994, hell the person he still was by the time he'd met Elena. He was racked with guilt, always. But, he dealt with it. He always had.
