Here wasn't a place she thought she'd ever be in again. At least not willingly. Though she had to admit, nothing about this entire situation and her being in it was willing. Because really, if she was going to be pulled into another dimension and have a choice in the matter, she'd go to one with lots of books, or no germs, or where in her mother was alive and she could actually live some semblance of a normal life.
But no, she was walking out of a church with two long containors filled to the brim with holy water. She hadn't been in one since her mother's death. And hadn't been a big fan of the building or it's occupants for a very long time. However, she'd had to have a very long conversation with a priest. Nice guy yes, but a conversation with him had been like pulling teeth. Well, for him. Heaven help (oh and that was all very spitefully thought) anyone who tried to get information out of her that she didn't want to give. It was none of his business as to when the last time she'd been to church was. The why's, the who's the what's. It was respect for those in cloth that had been ingrained in her since she let go of the bottle that kept her from telling her what he could do with his eternal sin and soul-forgiveness or -condemnation. Of God's love for everyone. Giving us nothing more than we can deal ... Right. It had been all she could do not to just facepalm, and yes, snap at a priest. This Sam guy so owed her.
Currently she was sitting in front of steps of the church. Feeling as if the statues of saints and angels were boring down her back. She'd gotten pretty good at pretending that they didn't bother her, as she had gotten pretty good at avoiding a lot of other things and pretending that they didn't bother her either. As she was, she was sitting and contemplating whether or not she should take a taxi back to the apartment or if she should take to the rooftop. It was almost getting dark enough.
