She could mostly live off the land - it was for Finnick, and Johanna. She still felt guilty over Johanna being captured in the Arena, though inwardly she believed that had she been told what the plan was, then maybe they all could have gotten out. Johanna....and Peeta.
As she turned the corner to approach the apartments, Katniss' eyes traveled across the area, seeking out any possible threat. She felt naked without her bow, but even she knew that she couldn't go into stores wearing it. Particularly not in this world, where people seemed to think she was some other person. The girl from the movies...not herself.
Seeing movement, she focused on it, then froze in place, studying the strange animal that seemed to be staring into a puddle. After a moment, the teen advanced slowly, eyes narrowed. "...What are you?" She muttered half aloud as she got a little closer, though she was wary that it might somehow attack.
