"I'll do better" she promised as he pinched her nose. Her nose? What was he doing? What the hell was wrong with him tonight. Still he was saying he loved her and that was something wasn't it? He loved her and he just wanted her to do better by him. She even understood that in a way. And she'd been wrong to mention his mother like that. Even if he was saying horrible things. He had a right to didn't he? She'd hurt him so deeply. "I'll make you happy, I know full well how much I owe you and I'm sorry. So lets get back to the fun, I'll make it up to you?"
He went back to watching the crowd and sipping at his drink when she joined him in watching the man being dragged away muttering about aliens.
"Yeah I guess, or...well we know that there are aliens here. Maybe he's on to something" she said, wrapping her arm around his as they stepped away from the bar with their drinks. It was likely he didn't want to care about the man, or the aliens, or the shiny rocks. But Ruby filed the information away all the same. "Anyway, lets get back to us, shall we" she asked leaning in almost like some pet looking for attention or a treat. She just wanted his affection again. That was all. Just a sign to back up his statements of love
