“Well, it’s kinda pointless for me to even try to deny that I’m drawn to darkness,” she told him, grinning as she headed on inside. Her gaze roamed the room, taking in the music, the smells, and the people that were inside of the bar. It reminded her a little of a place they’d gone to in New Orleans but she wondered if that was more to do with the jazz than anything else. It didn’t quite have the same flavor as down south, not the same vibe that she’d felt while enjoying that nightlife with him.
“We’ll have to go to Vex’s place sometime.” She wasn’t entirely certain that it would suit her own tastes but it could be fun to try out. After all she did like Vex, he was a hell of a laser tag player and helping out his business seemed like the appropriate thing to do.
“I want to sit at a booth.” Caroline nodded toward one in the corner, enjoying the way the shadows seemed to dance around it, liking the possibility of them having a quiet corner to call their own. “Though I’ll want to dance later.” And feed and probably a few other things as well. “But drinks first.” The alcoholic kind. Though she wouldn’t turn down blood either if he wanted to skip ahead to that.
