Of course she did. His Caroline had really become quite the connesieur. She'd learned a lot from him in their time together and just sometimes she let herself give in to it. It was rather appealing if he did say so himself. And so he lead her toward the nearest 'smokey' climate. A jazz bar, reminded him of better times and a ease to life that he hadn't had in decades, except when he was with her.
"That's the thing about a place like this, you wonder sometimes if they're aware of the predators in their midst, if they know how fragile life is. And you wonder if they care, or if its that kind of thing that draws them to the darkness. Here, that club the fae is opening, there's a darkness in the souls of the kind of people you find there, something unknown perhaps even to them."
The music played its part, the bass, the alto tones. It was a whole other world. And Caroline would learn that.
"Good choice though, there's something to be said for letting the darkness in." he told her as he pushed the door to a sutible bar and stepped to the side to let her walk ahead.
