Who: Angeline Dawes and Jill Dragomir Where: Their apartment What: Decorating for Halloween! Angeline makes a suggestion! Jill does something BAD! When: Tonight, just before Thackery's arrival
As they approached the apartment door, Angeline shifted the bags she held to dig out her keys, shooting a grin back at Jill. The redhead was beyond excited for the upcoming holiday, considering she'd never had the chance to celebrate it before, aside from going to the dance at Amberwood...which had been mostly a bust since she wasn't supposed to be there. "You don't think we picked up too much, do you? I mean, I know we've already got a ton of stuff, but...if there's too much we can just put it in Eddie's apartment. Or Rose's, right?" As she asked the question, the Dhampir returned her attention to the door and slipped the key in, then turned it. Despite her joking attitude, her entire body went tense for a moment, into complete readiness just as she stepped in - it was instinctual, despite having been raised as a Keeper, and Eddie had drilled the mantra into her: They come first. If there was any threat in their apartment, well, she'd meet it head on and give her Moroi charge the chance to run elsewhere.
The light they'd left on was still in place, and she glanced around quickly, dropping the bags just inside as she moved on in almost in a blur to check the rest of the apartment. Satisfied that they were alone, she returned only seconds later and again relaxed as she beckoned Jill in, scooping her bags up again and plopping them haphazardly on the couch on top of a pile of lights and spider web stuff they had picked up. The apartment itself already looked like Halloween had thrown up in it, but Angeline didn't care. She craved things like this, the opportunities to do something the rest of the world did, and if she went overboard, well...who cared, right? "I still think we should have picked up those fake eyeballs," she mused, starting to turn the bags over to dump everything out. That done, she picked up a package of bat cut outs and tore into it, then grabbed the tape as she looked around for an empty space to tape them to the wall.
"Hmm...what about putting these on the doors? We can put them on the outside, too, right?" Bright green eyes looked over at the brunette for confirmation, clearly eager to get to work.
