She arched an eyebrow at his response. He was confusing. And not giving very clear answers to her questions. Though, she supposed she couldn't complain about vague answers when he was at least giving some kind of answer. "How, then?" she asked, scooping down to pick up her boots before dropping them beside the bed.
"Ooh, Cali-boy, huh?" She headed over to the vanity mirror, messing with her hair as she spoke with this strange boy. She could see his reflection in the mirror. "I've always heard good things about California, never been though. I'm from Seattle. Well, near enough anyway." She shrugged, pulling the brush through her still damp hair. "That happens here. You can go home, but it's never quite right. Even if it looks the same. It's just...off. Different dimension and all." She spoke as if it were normal. She supposed after all the time she'd been here, now it was.
"Not really." She said putting the brush down and tossing her hair in a ponytail before moving over to sit on the bed and pull on her boots. "You're just lucky my dad didn't catch you." her tone was so nonchalant, but there was the weirdest hint of something behind it--like he would have been in big trouble if Adam had found him.
