"That's what worries me," Kirk said. "There's always the chance that whatever's coming next is bigger than Lucifer. I mean, I'm not sure there's a whole lot that's worse than him other than the angels, but there could always be the chance. And that's not counting the idea that the Seal brings bad guys from other worlds that we can't necessarily handle. So far we've been lucky, but our luck could run out."

They got closer to where there were more people and he began to make sure no one was paying specific attention. He was sure between them they could handle a threat, but he wanted to be vigilant. "That's a good thing," he said with a nod. "I mean, it's probably the best thing under these circumstances. I know she was hurting a lot and while it was getting better it was still pretty hard on her. And I hope the same thing with Sid. But she's tough. I think even if it did show up she'd beat him.

He grinned at the congratulations. "Thanks. We've got all the basics there, and the gift cards. They switched over to prepaid Visas and Master Cards so you can use them anywhere. And Harry Lockhart owns it now. Well, Spike did, and then he went away but he's back now so I'm not entirely sure. He didn't remember being here and he isn't trying to run the place, so so far it's me and Harry making the day to day decisions. Not that there's many decisions to make, other than housing new people. We opened up the third building and almost all of the apartments got taken up by new arrivals that had to all live on the same floor. So mostly it's finding places for just one person, or two if they don't mind sharing a bedroom."
