Damon knew that people would judge them for it. But, he didn't care. He never had really cared much about what other people thought. Apart from Elena. What Elena thought mattered. He couldn't give a toss about anyone else right now. All that mattered was how she felt about it. Because, she was his life, so marrying her felt like the most natural thing in the world.
And, the impulsiveness of it, it was so them. It reflected their relationship so well. But, all Damon could feel right now, was happiness that Elena really was his, forever. They were here, and together, and married. He would never tire of thinking of her as his wife.
"Because I promised you I'd try not to." Damon said pushing the hair back from Elena's face, cupping her face between his palms. "I'm holding myself together, as best I can. So, you can freak out." His lips quirked into a happy smile. "Besides, I'm happy."
Damon blinked a couple of times, studying Elena's face Before leaning down until their lips met. Putting everything into the kiss, all of the love, passion and happiness he felt that they were together. She was his everything, his life and now his wife.
