Danny's face broke into a smile when he saw Davina come out of the house. In person, she was a little different to how he'd imagined her. She was shorter, smaller and considerably more beautiful. Even though, as he was thinking that, he felt guilty - he had a girl a home who was one of the most beautiful things he had ever seen - he couldn't deny the fact. He hoped he wasn't getting in over his head in this friendship with Davina, but she was the only person he'd really felt able to open up to since arriving here and that counted for something. He didn't think he could walk away from that. Who else did he have?
"Hey yourself," Danny replied, pushing away from the car, where he'd been leaning, to stand straight and to attention, as he was used to doing. "We gotta hurry if we don't wanna lose the light." Walking around the car, Danny pulled open the passenger door and held it in place, waiting for Davina to join him. "After you."
