And it had, in rather epically terrible ways. She'd even started fires in her sleep. She was cornered, stuck, and she had to seek help from any possible avenue. And right now that avenue had led her to him. It wasn't ideal for either of them, but it was needed. Truth was, Kol was only helping her for Caroline's sake at this point.
