He got to Anna's home and knocked on the door, thinking while he waited. He could tell when he was being lied to, even when he wasn't looking at someone face to face. Anna wasn't okay, no matter how much she insisted she was. He'd lucked out and gotten sent to the Shire and more or less had a two week vacation. He knew other people had been sent worse places, and Anna was one of them. But she wouldn't talk to him about it. Or maybe it was that she couldn't. He wouldn't know until he saw her face to face.

Part of him wondered why she had agreed. Before the Seal picked them up and tossed them to other worlds they hadn't spent much time together. He had his job at the Center and the self defence classes, yeah, and he did occasionally spend time with his friends. But he'd tried to spend time with Anna and it never really worked out. Like he'd said to Kenzi, it seemed like they were dating in name only these days. But she'd agreed to see him tonight, and maybe they could attempt to try and fix things. If not...well, if not then maybe it would be better for both of them if they moved on. He'd just have to wait and see.
