Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:lissa dragomir, rose hathaway

Who: Rose Hathaway and Lissa Dragomir
When: Earlier on Sept 6th, after this
Where: Wherever Lissa is
What: Finding Lissa and getting her fed
Rating: TBA, probably low, but talk of blood drinking?

The moment Rose found out Lissa was here, she stopped thinking about anything else. Even Jill being missing was something that came second next to Lissa and it had nothing to do with Lissa being the queen of the Moroi. Lissa was Rose's best friend in the whole world. She loved her like a sister, but it was so much more than that. Even without the bond that used to let Rose listen in on exactly what her friend was thinking and feeling, Rose and Lissa had an unshakable connection. They were forever bound in other ways. If Lissa needed her, Rose was going to be there, end of story. And right now, they were both stuck in a strange place with god knew what roaming around out there. Rebekah had mentioned a whole bunch of not good sounding things and there was no way Rose was leaving Lissa out there alone. No freakin' way.

As soon as she had a location, Rose put her phone away and took off running. The network could wait. More answers and questions could wait. Nothing was as important to her as making sure Lissa was safe. She silently cursed the loss of the bond in moments like these, even if it was better to not have to deal with the less awesome aspects of it. Not having a front row seat to her best friend's sex life and not having to deal with all the awesome shadow-kissed side effects was pretty awesome, but if they'd still been bound, Rose would have known instantly that Lissa was here. She would have known where to find her and whether she was okay. Instead, without that little psychic GPS to guide her, she had to rely on the information Lissa had given her and her own wits.

She knew instantly when she saw Lissa that she was in a bad way. She was pale, even for a Moroi. There wasn't enough color in her cheeks and she looked ready to topple over any second. Without even thinking about it, Rose swept her long hair to the said and offered up her neck. "You need to eat. Like, right now," she said in a tone that should have suggested it wouldn't do Lissa much good to argue. It had been a long time since Rose had played feeder for her, but there was no question of whether she was willing when Lissa obviously needed blood right away.

"Lissa, yes." Rose could be damn stubborn when she wanted to be, which was pretty much always. This was definitely a time when she wasn't going to back down, because it was obvious Lissa needed to feed. The last thing she wanted was to make this a habit or get addicted to the endorphins again, but they didn't have time to find a feeder this time. And one time wasn't going to hurt her. Much.

"We don't have time to find a willing donor and I don't want you passing out on me, Liss," she argued. "And don't try telling me you're not hungry, because even without the bond, I can tell when you need blood." Lissa wasn't hurt, Rose didn't think, but she looked seriously weak right now. It took a lot of self control not to demand to know what was wrong, but questions would only delay a feeding Rose knew she needed and badly. She didn't need a psychic bond to know that.

Lissa was right, too, that Rose would do anything for Lissa. She'd taken a bullet for her, without hesitation. She had literally thrown herself in front of Lissa, willing to give her life for her Moroi and she would do it again in an instant. Not just because they came first, but because this was Lissa. And giving up a little blood was a lot less painful than getting shot in the chest. Even now, about a year later, Rose could still remember pretty clearly how good a vampire bit felt.

Despite herself, she knew that Rose was right, and she knew that Rose would keep pushing her until she actually fed. It was just that Lissa really didn't want to do that to Rose again. Rose needed to keep her wits about her, but if Lissa didn't feed she might just faint and that wasn't a really good thing either.

Her argument was what Lissa expected, and her expression said as much so. "Fine, but I'm only taking a little bit so I don't pass out on you and we can find a willing donor right after." She said with a voice much stronger than she felt. Lissa's expression changed to worry, shame, and just plain feeling horrible for what she was about to do. They might not be bound psychically anymore, but they knew each other well enough to read the tiny expressions.

Looking around quickly to make sure there wasn't anyone who could watch, she moved hesitantly towards Rose. Opening her mouth wide enough to actually show her fangs she dug them quickly into her best friends neck drinking only for a couple of moments, she probably did need more blood but she wasn't going to drink anymore from Rose, she just wasn't. Backing off she quickly whipped away any signs of blood on her lips as she gave Rose an apologetic but grateful look. "Thank You." She said softly as she looked down before looking back up. "Are you okay?"

Rose rolled her eyes at that. "Because you normally take so much. Take what you need, Liss. I can handle it. It's not like we've never done this before."

Rose knew Lissa didn't like having to feed from her, but they hadn't had much choice a few years ago and they didn't really have a choice now. Lissa needed blood and Rose had plenty. She's recover quickly from it, too.

There was a short burst of pain as Lissa's fands slid into her neck followed by a longer burst of pure bliss. Rose had forgotten how good this could feel. She wasn't going to turn into an addict from just one bit, but oh god. It was over in an instant and some part of Rose wanted to protest when Lissa pulled away. Not just because she might need more blood, but because there was nothing that compared with that endorphin rush.

"I'm great," she answered, reaching up to wipe any lingering blood away from her neck. She'd have a bruise, but the actual bite marks would heal quickly, at least. "Are you okay? What happened? Did you miss a feeding? Or, you know, several?" It would take more than one to make Lissa as weak as she'd looked a few minutes ago.

Rolling her eyes at Rose, mostly because she couldn't help it, and because she really didn't want to think about how many times they had done this before. It wasn't like Lissa liked it, and she knew why she'd have to. After all when they were on the run Lissa wasn't exactly the same person that she was now. So much had happened from that moment until this moment right now. They were both a bit different, they both had grown up some, and they both had been through a lot.

A guilty look crossed Lissa's features as she could tell that the endorphins had hit Rose, of course they had, it was a drug after all. Lissa hated doing that to Rose, and maybe after she got a real feeding and was feeling stronger she could heal the bruise away, that was a tiny one, not a huge one so she could easily do that without much of a problem.

That's right, all of the arguing about needing blood she hadn't even told Rose what had happened. Sometimes Lissa even forgot that Rose couldn't just see into her head and know exactly what had happened. She liked that Rose couldn't see her whole life anymore, but sometimes she had to be reminded that she had to tell her what happened. "Um, when I arrived, in the graveyard this was this girl just laying there bleeding, it looked like she'd been shot..." Lissa didn't think she needed to explain what had happened next. "I couldn't leave her there to die."

Maybe they were both different, but one thing that would never change was that Rose would do anything for Lissa. That included giving her a little blood when she needed it. It wasn't like Rose loved the idea of being a feeder or the idea of what people would say if they knew, but Lissa needed this and Rose knew it wouldn't hurt her.

"Don't look at me like that, Lissa. I'm fine. No big deal." Truthfully, she was feeling a little lightheaded, but Rose wasn't going to let that show. She knew Lissa felt guilty enough and she also knew that wooziness from the blood loss would pass soon enough. Lissa hadn't taken much at all and it really wasn't a big deal.

When Lissa did tell her what happened, Rose swore quietly, but creatively. She knew her friend couldn't help it, she knew she couldn't have just left the girl there to die, but Rose hated what spirit did to Lissa. She hated it more knowing there was nothing she could even do to help her anymore.

It was a big deal, but Lissa wasn't going to push it right now. They'd find a feeder and it would be okay. Right now however they had more pressing things to deal with. Where they were, why they were here, how they were going to get back and what they were going to do about Jill.

"Fine." She said dropping it for the time being. She narrowed her eyes slightly at Rose as she swore quietly but didn't say anything to it, she knew Rose hated it, but Lissa couldn't help it, it was apart of her.

"Regardless of me healing her... We need to figure out what's next." Lissa said as she started to feel stronger. She knew spirit would have a side effect on her eventually, but probably not this exact moment.

Rose hated anything that hurt Lissa. She'd gotten better at accepting Lissa's use of Spirit and Lissa's control over the side effects got better, as Lissa herself got stronger, but she still didn't like it. She knew Lissa couldn't help it, but Rose worried about her, especially now that she didn't have the bond to tell her if her friend was really okay. She just had to rely on her powers of awesomeness instead.

"What's next is we go back to the apartment I scored and you get some rest. Don't think I can't tell you're exhausted just because I can't feel it for myself anymore." She'd gotten enough information about where they were to know they weren't going home anytime soon. Rose had no intention of giving up, but right now Lissa took priority.

Rose folded her arms across her chest in what was a clear not taking no for an answer gesture. She and Lissa could be equally stubborn and when it came right down to it, Lissa was technically the boss, being queen and all. Rose just hoped that if she saw how determined she was, she'd agree to go rest for a little while. In the meantime, Rose could ask Sydney about a real feeder, because she was pretty sure Lissa hadn't taken everything she needed from her.

Opening her mouth she was getting ready to argue with Rose that they really needed to not worry about resting right now and figure out what was next. She needed to figure out how they got out of here, but Rose was right and she could tell that arguing wasn't going to get her very far.

"Where is this apartment you've scored?" Lissa asked rolling her eyes giving in. She hated feeling vulnerable again. It was a horrible feeling and it took her back to a time when she needed Rose for everything. She still needed Rose, but she wasn't the same girl that she had been years before.

"Stop looking at me like that, you got your way okay!"
