Belle took a moment to answer. Putting the book to one side safely before accepting the food. He should know by now that you didn't eat while a book that old and that well kept was nearby. But she really was hungry. It had been quite a busy day for them both, wandering the little town, getting to know people. She didn't speak their language much as her last name was French she knew basics only. But they were friendly enough, and Rumple could understand them. Magic she expected.
"I'm more than happy. This place is beautiful, everything's perfect, and I'm here with you." she responded, leaning over to kiss him just gently. This was the side of him that not everyone got to see, the kind, generous and loving man behind the Dark One. The man who would do whatever was within his considerable power to see her happy but had learned that it didn't always take threats and revenge to those that hurt her to show his love. She was so incredibly lucky to have him and she told him so as much as she possibly could.
"Tell me love, how about tonight we stay in, wine, food, books, at most we sit out in the evening air for a little while. I'm not in the mood for anything strenuous."
In truth Belle probably could have done cartwheels along the entire Riviera with how excited she was by this and how much there was to see. But they'd walked a lot today and she knew almost before he did when he'd walked enough. She knew also that he still had quite a lot of pride.
"Thank you for this by the way. Its just what we needed."
