Rebekah offered a small shrug of agreement about Finn. Her feelings towards her absent brother were complicated at best. Even when they had been human, she had never felt the closeness and comfort she had felt with the others, and the hurt of the betrayal when he had worked so hard to kill them still stung. But he was still her brother, and she had mourned his death. Not as much as Kol's, she hadn't felt that deep pain, but there had been a grief there all the same. "Finn was always the weird one of the family. Never really knew why."
She sighed slightly, wondering how to explain his question. "It is a family trait, being so stubborn," she stalled for time before deciding to just come out with it.
"She was the one who turned us into what we are. I don't know if it was her idea, or Mikael's. But she decided she didn't like what we became. That we had lived too long, that vampires as a species were wrong and against nature. That was why she did what she did. I want to think that she did love us, once, a long time ago. But, along the way, the love stopped."
