Stiles did respect her. He respected her a lot, even if it didn't always show. And he knew he wasn't great at showing people what they meant to him. He never had been. But he hoped that his easy acceptance of the grounding -- which he knew he deserved -- at least helped illustrate that a little.
And his dad? Definitely would have grounded him. That didn't mean he wouldn't ignore the grounding if there was some kind of supernatural crisis, but as long as nothing earth-shattering was going on, he could handle a week's worth of no TV, video games, movies, and leaving the house unsupervised.
At least he had the internet. And not being grounded from Scott was definitely good. He nodded and met her eyes. "Got it," he assured her with a very faint smile. "Sorry that I worried you." That, he was definitely sincere about.
