"I guess when you get used to something you feel confident about it." Melissa shrugged slightly. Magic wishes. There were magic wishes here and Stiles had used his for something that he probably shouldn't have, considering he still wasn't exactly happy with it. He was prepared for whatever could hit them back home in Beacon Hills, but not so much here. Seemed a bit to Melissa like he should have worded his wish differently. Maybe that was just it....the phrasing had to be just right to make it what you wanted....for certain things, at least.
She was getting a little more used to the whole supernatural/magical world. Magical wishes, werewolves, kanima, etc. well, she wasn't freaking out about all of it, at least. She was taking newer things in stride, or at least much better than she had when she'd first been told about werewolves and Scott's condition.
Melissa felt like all of her points were pretty valid. And she wasn't trying to make him feel guilty. She was just trying to point out that his intentions weren't quite working out the way that he had in mind. He'd just made everyone worry with this stubborn independent streak that he was going off on. And that didn't really help anyone.
Melissa gave a light, smile at Stiles. At least he knew that she would want to kill him if he did that again. Moving to stand, Melissa reached out to squeeze his shoulder, pausing there. "It's good to have you back. You know you and Scott are grounded now, right?" The smile hadn't fallen from her face at all as she spoke.
She felt like that was fair, considering the fact that they had both worried her. Both boys needed some normalcy back, from what she could tell. She knew that if Stiles' dad were here he'd be grounded, for sure. But since he wasn't, he was her responsibility. she knew that he'd do the same for Scott if he were here and she weren't around. And she did love Stiles, so this....in a way was doing him a favor.
