The Doctor turned as he heard her enter the control room. Unsure of what to expect, nervous even. But, inspite of himself, as her beautiful blue eyes met his, he grinned. The way he always grinned at her. That big goofy grin full of happiness. Even though confusion warred with the happiness behind his deep brown eyes.
"Hello,", he replied as he watched her circle the room. His hands stuffed in his pockets, his eyes following her. Examining every movement, every caress of the bits of the TARDIS no longer in the current control room. The parts that were theirs. Held their memories, and adventures.
He tried to be patient, but he'd missed her the last few weeks. And patience had never been one of the Doctors strong points. And the slow path had been driving him crazy. The only thing that had stopped him from going insane, had been Rose Tyler.
So, he did the only thing he could think of to show her exactly how much he'd missed her. How much he needed her. It took him a couple of steps to reach her, and as he did he pulled her into his arms.
