Who: Caroline and Klaus
What: working with the angry Hybrid
When: today
Where: Marcel’s place
To say that the Mikaelson family was worried about Henrik was probably the understatement of the century. Caroline had been envisioning the horrors of like the smallpox epidemic that she’d read about in history class or those flus that seemed to have killed off hundreds of people at various times in history. She couldn’t even imagine what it was like for the others who’d actually witnessed others dying from illnesses.
Not that Henrik was going to die. Medicines were significantly better than they had been in any of those scenarios...not to mention there was the fact that she knew if it looked like he was taking a turn for the worse that someone would get blood into his system, no matter how much the kid protested about it. They had lost him once. She didn’t think the siblings could handle losing him again. Especially not to something they could potentially fix.
But it looked like he’d have an okay recovery if he got the necessary rest and fluids and since he was sleeping soundly in his bed, Caroline left it to go in search of the other Mikaelson she was worried about. She knew all of them were taking what was happening hard but she knew Klaus, better than she thought she should at times and other times she didn’t think she understood him enough.
This time though she wanted to see how he was doing. She knew that not being able to simply heal his younger brother had to be agonizing to him. Caroline just wasn’t sure in which emotion that would manifest from Klaus.
She wandered through Marcel’s home, still not all that sure where anything was in it, eventually finding Klaus. Leaning against the wall she watched him quietly for a moment. “I know that you know his prognosis looks good but I’m gonna go out on a wild guess here and guess that you’re not happy with how long it might take for Henrik to be better.”
Or the fact that humans were so fragile and a good prognosis could turn bad in a moment's notice.
