Caroline didn’t really know why Henrik didn’t want the blood. She didn’t have a clue what was going through that kid’s head in regards to that. “Maybe you should ask him? Maybe it has nothing to do with what he sees with all of you but with his own fears. I dunno.” Then again maybe it did have everything to do with what he saw. “Though, as much as I like what I am, none of us really asked to become a vampire. It just kind of happened to all of us.” She wasn’t sure where she was going with any of that and sat down on the couch, watching him closely. “But maybe you should talk to him about it.”
Everything was a mess for them and she didn’t know how to fix it. She didn’t know what to do for them to get at least back to when they weren’t all living in different places, when there was some form of closeness and family. She had a feeling that as a family they were used to being together and she knew the family being together was something Klaus did want.
“And I dunno about the magic. I don’t think it’ll pull him away from you all because you are his family and I think that means a lot to him. And okay, maybe we’re not part of serving nature but technically none of us are doing anything to hurt nature here either. If anything we’re helping. Like you did with the hunting down the werewolves. There’s no massacres here, there’s no killing people to make points, or sacrifices, or random attacks that technically we could be doing. We’re not draining people dry when we feed.”
She sighed, leaning forward as she watched him. “And I think love will win out in the end.”
