He didn't say anything at first, instead he just wrapped his arms around her waist and kind of clung to her for awhile. He felt remarkably child-like in that moment, like when he was little and watched some scary movie he wasn't supposed to and had nightmares. Except this time, the nightmares were real. "That's...not even the worst part," he said softly, wiping at his cheeks as he pulled away.
"The way this place works sometimes...it's crazy, you know? But...the war I told you about, before...in the big, final battle...I lost her then too. She came back, it's a really weird thing, but the Seal does that sometimes, I guess. And when I was sent home, I didn't remember any of it... I really wish I did...I could've changed everything... but when I got back here, everything kinda came back to me, you know? And...and everything from home, I mean it was still so fresh and then remembering everything from before... I lost her twice. Same way and everything. It's almost poetic. In a really sick way."
