She'd watched Faith run, and didn't stop her. Buffy had given her the options. Grow up, get over it and stop trying to kill everyone, or leave, and don't ever let Buffy see her again, because next time she wouldn't let her go. It seemd pretty clear to Buffy. Come back to the side you were supposed to be on, or stay the hell out of the way.
Sometime after the fight was over, the slayer had just started wondering. She didn't know how many hours she'd wondered, or even where she had gone, really. Buffy had been lost in her own head, her own thoughts, her own depressing, depressing thoughts.
People walked by, some, if not most were probably drunk, or had been drinking. Some were alone, some in groups of people. Faces and more faces went by, and yet she didn't really see any of them. Just people, at this point, that she didn't really care about. At some point she went though a park, and then a grave yard, half hoping for a vampire from home to pop out of the graves.
Eventually she did land back at the apartment. Security would have clocked her return. The dazed Slayer somehow made it back to her space, and into her own bedroom where she had kicked off her shoes, jacket, and pants and crawled into bed. Sleep came easily. Emotionally exhausted, she'd slept for hours.
It was daylight when she woke. The alarm said three in the afternoon. She'd dragged herself out of bed, showered, and then went into her kitchen. For ten minutes she wondered around the space trying to find something she wanted to eat. She'd opened the fridge a dozen times and kept rechecking the shelves. Finally, she decided, she just wasn't that hungry.
Again she slept, and when she opened her eyes, it was once again dark out.
