Henrik looked down, not liking what he had to tell her next. It was never a fun thing to hear that you could no longer control your own fate. “You cannot return until what brought you hear sends you back.” He looked back up at her, frowning, because it was never good news. Sometimes it took people a while to truly come to accept the truth in that as well. “But I am told that the world you are from stops while you are here. So when you do return it will be as if you never left.”
He didn’t really expect her to believe him though. It was a lot to take in and coming from someone as young as he was had to be hard to deal with. “But I can show you where you can try to talk to the adults who might know more than I do. They might be able to explain better as well.” Because a lot of it failed to make any sense to him.
Henrik was simply happy to have his siblings with him. Even if they weren’t doing a very good job at being a family at the moment.
