"There is no need for apologies," Rose said firmly, yet gently. And oh, that one sentence could be taken in so many different ways. Elena was free to interpret it however she wished as Rose gestured a waitress over and ordered an iced coffee for herself, before she turned her attention back to the younger woman.
Elena had been pretty for a human. While she was identical to Katherine in looks, she had a softer, kinder, more innocent loo to her, but being a vampire had only enhanced the girls beauty. She was glad to see that Elena had taken to becoming a vampire so inherently well, considering that the the gift of immortality was something Elena had never wanted to begin with.
"So, you seem to be adjusting to life here just fine. I'm glad to hear it. The last version of you that was here sort of took me under her wing and took care of me when I first got here, so if you ever need any help, please let me know. I'd like to be able to return the favor."
"Are you liking the house? I feel I should tell you that it was Jenna and Jeremy's house before they were sent back home."
