"I know, but..." He paused, studying her for a moment, but he shook his head. "Nevermind." Maybe that really was all it was. She was distracted, upset, just as much as he was.
"I suppose it will," he nodded. At least, he hoped so. "I hate both of them," he mumbled, with a sigh. They both were always on some high horse or other and just so bloody annoying with their ridiculous convictions. But then sometimes he wondered if they, and others that shared their opinions of he and his family, were working to turn others against them. It was a bit of a fear he had, really. He had actually made a life here, had friends he didn't want to loose.
"Sage was an idiot." he rolled his eyes at the mere thought of the woman. He had hated her, they all did really, aside from Finn. Kol slid his arm around her shoulders, pressed a kiss to the top of her forehead. Sometimes, he really missed the days when things were simple, when they were younger and the worst he had to protect her from were bad storms that scared her at times. "It's not fair," he whispered, pressing his cheek to the top of her head.
